The McGill Bird Observatory is project overseen by the Migration Research Foundation inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to the study of bird movements and conservation. We are a small organisation with funding primarily obtained through fundraising event, corporate sponsorship, individual donation and grants. Money received helps supports our ongoing activities. Thank you for supporting our work. You’ll receive a tax receipt for your donation, helping you make an impact while also benefiting from a tax deduction.
Fundraising Events
Every amount is important for us. While we understand that everybody reality is different every small amount is greatly appreciate. Not only is a testamentary gift a concrete expression of your love for the environment, it also has many tax benefits. We recognize the importance and beauty of your birthday. It’s a meaningful occasion that marks a key moment in your life!
Montreal Birding Olympics
The Montreal Birding Olympics is our fundraising event and competition involving a day of birdwatching to count the maximum number of species in 24 hours on the island of Montreal on May ##, 2025 while raising fund for our organization.
Participants can compete in one of three categories: The Big Day, The Eco Day, or The Family Day, in team of two (2) to five (5) members and have the chance to win many participation prizes.
